It’s a program. It’s an SLP. It’s… Heroes!

On November 14, 2014, I was in Madison, Wisconsin for the annual Summer Library Program Workshop hosted by the South Central Library System. During the morning portion of the event, I presented a three-hour workshop around the central theme of 2015 summer programming: “Every hero has a story,” the CSLP theme for 2015. I shared information and ideas about using unprogramming, STEAM, and making as lenses for thinking about programming–both during the summer and throughout the year–and I also discussed some alternatives to the traditional summer reading program. My slides are below, and links to resources mentioned are in my recap on The Show Me Librarian.
