The Everyday Importance of STEM

At the 2015 ALA Midwinter Meeting, Claire Moore (Darien Library) and I sat on a panel, moderated by McGraw-Hill Education’s John Rennie, to explore the landscape of STEM/STEAM in the library, in particular library services to youth. In addition to questions from John as well as the audience, the panel also included a brief exploration of some of the myriad of STEM program opportunities for libraries serving youth. These program descriptions were accompanied by images of the programs, below.
